I’ve handled a lot of folding knives over the years, but the Squatch Works Nakini has completely redefined my expectations for an everyday carry (EDC) blade. After just a few weeks of use, it has officially dethroned my CPM 110 Spyderco Paramilitary 2—a knife I never thought I’d replace.
Ergonomics & Deployment
Right out of the box, the Nakini just melts into the hand. The titanium handle is not only lightweight but sculpted in a way that provides perfect grip and balance. No hot spots, no awkward angles—just pure comfort. Deployment is ridiculously fast thanks to the smooth action and well-tuned detent. Whether flipping it open with the thumb studs or using the reverse flick, the blade rockets out with authority.
Steel & Performance
Squatch Works made a brilliant choice with Magnacut steel, and it shows. The blade holds a razor-sharp edge for an extended period while maintaining excellent toughness and corrosion resistance. It’s an absolute workhorse, whether slicing through boxes, cutting paracord, or handling finer tasks with precision.
Styling & Pocketability
This knife doesn’t just perform—it looks amazing. The sleek, modern design combined with high-end materials gives it a premium feel that’s hard to beat. Despite its impressive blade size and capability, it disappears in the pocket thanks to its lightweight titanium build. And let’s talk about the clip—it’s one of the most unique I’ve ever seen, featuring a Sasquatch foot shape that adds personality without sacrificing function.
Office-Friendly & Compliment Magnet
Unlike some bulkier or overly aggressive designs, the Nakini feels right at home in an office setting. It’s subtle enough not to raise eyebrows but stylish enough to catch attention from fellow gear enthusiasts. Speaking of which—I’ve lost count of how many compliments I’ve received from friends and coworkers who appreciate quality craftsmanship.
Final Thoughts
The Squatch Works Nakini isn’t just another knife—it’s my new favorite EDC. It’s lightweight, ergonomic, incredibly sharp, and downright beautiful . If you’re looking for a knife that balances performance, style, and carry comfort, this one checks all the boxes. I think this is what a Chris Reeve knife should be in 2025! Spyderco PM2, it’s been real—but I’ve found something better.
